- Provide CPR HLTAID009 qualification is valid for 1 year and should be refreshed annually.
- This course covers how to identify an unconscious casualty who may require CPR, how to promote survivability by use of CPR techniques as well as the recovery position, and offers an overview on some of the causes of disrupted airways, how to deal with such factors and how to protect oneself from danger and minimise risk of infection by teaching industry best-practice resuscitation techniques.
- HLTAID009 supersedes HLTAID001 – Provide CPR.

Online Pre-Study Module
Participants must complete the online pre-study module. It covers the theoretical part of Provide Advanced First Aid training.
The link to the online pre-study will be provided in an activation account email after booking in the course.
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED if a participant does not complete the online pre-study module.

USI (Unique Student Identifier)
From 1 January 2015, every student who undertakes nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia is required to have a USI.
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT CANNOT BE ISSUED
if a participant fails to produce a valid USI number.
USI can be obtained via www.usi.gov.au

Identification
Participants must provide one form of photo I.D. (e.g. passport, Australian
driver’s licence, proof of age card, student card).
Please note only an international passport is accepted as an non-Australian document. All other forms of I.D. must be issued in Australia.
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED
if participants do not provide a valid form of I.D.

Attendance
Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the course to complete the necessary registration paperwork.
ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED if participants arrive 15 minutes after the scheduled starting time.

LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy)
The basic understanding, reading and writing of English is required.
As part of our pre-training review all students are required to complete an LLN assessment to determine a student’s eligibility for enrolment into their selected course.
All students enrolling into any Edway Training course must have LLN skills to do simple calculations, understand English well enough to be able to read, write, and provide verbal responses to questions in English to undertake training and assessment in any of our courses.
